Woodwind instruments are manufactured to a high degree of precision and therefore require appropriate daily maintenance. Before use, please read carefully the following instructions.
- Woodwind instruments are sensitive to temperature and humidity changes. Sudden changes could cause wood to deform or crack. During the cold seasons, do no play the instrument suddenly. Warm it with the palm of your hands first, and then blow gently in the bore until it warms up. Do not ever try to heat with direct sun light or heating appliance.
- Do not leave the instrument in the car, the temperature can change suddenly, or there may be risk of theft.
- The first month after the purchase please avoid playing for an extended period of time.
- During assembling and dismantling the instrument, please be careful not to apply excessive force on the key work. It can be detrimental to the performance and key operability.
- If needed, please use an adapted swab to remove moisture for the bore. Some parts of the bore are narrower than the others, so be careful not to block the swab. If you have stuck the swab do not force and please contact a technician.
- If there is moisture on the pads, use a cigarette paper or pad-cleaning paper to dry it. It can be detrimental to the performance and key operability.
- Please wipe the keys after every use.
- Please contact us or a technician for further information.
